Socotra talk

Socotra – a land of mystery and legend, renowned since ancient times as a source of exotic and healing resins such as frankincense and myrrh, and believed by the Phoenicians to be the home of the Phoenix – is now recognised as globally important for biodiversity conservation because of its exceptionally rich and distinct flora and fauna, the result of its long geological isolation.

Join us to hear Sylvia Clare talk about her amazing trip and show us pictures of the fascinating scenery, flora and fauna including some of the many species that are found nowhere else on earth.
